Synchronicities
A thank-you text at the exact right moment, a fundraiser on the 'wrong' day, a blanket that arrived two days early. The small graces that keep us going.

We give free baskets of postpartum recovery supplies to women who have experienced stillbirth or infant loss. Each basket is delivered through a partner hospital and placed in a mother's hands before she goes home, so that her body can heal while her heart begins to.
A finished Basket of Healing, ready for delivery to a partner hospital.
We are so sorry. You are not alone, and your recovery matters. Find gentle resources, learn what to expect from your body, and reach out if you or someone you love needs a basket.
Social workers, nurses, chaplains and bereavement coordinators: we supply baskets to hospitals at no cost. See how a partnership works and how to request baskets for your unit.
Every basket costs about $250 to fill. Give by card or Venmo, send supplies from our Amazon wish list, or sponsor a whole basket in memory of someone you love.
Why baskets
After stillbirth or infant loss, a mother's body still goes through the full postpartum recovery: bleeding, soreness, and milk coming in for a baby who is not there. Many women are never told what to expect, and the supplies they need can cost several hundred dollars at exactly the moment they are least able to think about shopping.
Baskets of Healing gathers everything into one soft, thoughtfully packed basket: medical supplies for physical recovery, small comforts for the hard nights, a printed guide to lactation after loss, and a candle to keep a little light burning. Our hope is that each basket says, plainly, we see you, and you are not alone.

Our impact so far
Since our first basket in late 2023, given in memory of a little boy named John Aydin, we have grown one hospital and one mother at a time.
“Your basket helped me in every way. Especially the candle. It was exactly what I needed more than anything. It touched my heart and it helped to make me feel not alone through the process.”
“I can't say enough how thoughtful the gesture was. I am so appreciative to have received such kindness during the absolute worst time of my life.”

Our story
In June 2023, Amanda delivered and lost her healthy baby boy, John Aydin, at 21 weeks. She left the hospital with keepsakes and a tiny electric candle, but almost no guidance about the physical recovery ahead of her. Her sister-in-law Jessica could not stop asking one question: what can I possibly do to help comfort her?
The answer became Baskets of Healing. Jessica, Amanda, and their family began assembling baskets of the supplies Amanda wished she had been given, and delivered the first one to the very hospital where John Aydin was born. Every basket since has carried his name forward.
